This is a cove (Ship Harbor) north of Bass Harbor and southwest of Thunderhole. maps.google.com Only minutes before, this area was fairly calm, I was standing on a piece of land that jutted out into the small harbor. The combination of the high tide and the remnants of Hurricane Bill kicked up some amazing waves. I wanted to shoot longer, but the waves unexpectantly started coming over the cliff. I moved inland and up the hill a bit and was eventually standing in about 2 foot of water. This cliff edge is about 20ft high to give some perspective.
